The National Auto Body Council (NABC) and a local auto body shop (Precision Collision Auto Body) recently worked together with many other companies in the collision repair industry to bring a much needed training program to local firefighter and EMT’s. On August 30th, 31st and September 1st, Precision Collision worked together with local insurance companies and other vendors to bring the First Responders Emergency Extrication program (F.R.E.E.) to our fire departments at no cost to them!
Saving lives at the scene of an accident can sometimes depend mostly on response time referred to as the “golden hour.” This class helps address new vehicle technologies including high strength steels (HSS), airbag and restraint systems and techniques to help remove injured passengers and potentially prevent loss of life! Collision repair facilities around the country like Precision Collision Auto Body open their businesses along with Halmatro USA who provides instruction and are giving back to our communities helping to educate and share vital data and knowledge with our first responders.
Partnerships that made these events a huge success included local Insurance companies, LKQ Keystone aftermarket parts, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, AllStar Auto Glass and Foss Towing. The insurance partners who provided late model vehicles for these classes included Progressive Insurance (3), State Farm Insurance (2), American Family Insurance (2), Allstate Insurance (1) and Nationwide Insurance (1). Two other vehicles were generously donated by Insurance Auto Auction in Seattle.
Visit the Precision Collision’s YouTube channel to view more short videos of recent classes that have been held here in Washington.
