They promote residents’ well-being, health and privacy while providing apartment homes that are designed with the individual’s needs in mind. Residents enjoy ongoing social opportunities to mix with friends and family while no longer worrying about the struggles of keeping up with household and yard maintenance. Residents simply enjoy their retirement years in beautiful, worry-free surroundings.

Wenatchee Community Center

The city of Wenatchee, together with area agencies, organizations and neighborhood residents, is completing a five-year long process to raise $3.23 million toward acquiring and renovating the St. Joseph’s Church property in south Wenatchee for the Wenatchee Community Center.  Partners include the Veterans, the State of Washington, the Gates Foundation, Community Action Council, the Port of Chelan County and the community as a whole!  The center will provide a stabilizing feature to the neighborhood by providing access to job training and entrepreneurial assistance, adult basic education and literacy programs, the food bank, the police Substation (after school mentoring and homework center), Headstart and much more.  A Board of Directors has been formed to provide community programming.  Their vision is: To unite the greater community by embracing cultures, families and individuals through collaboration, assistance and support.

The St. Joseph’s property is conveniently located off south Chelan Street adjacent to Methow Park.  Methow Park has been the beneficiary of a multi-year renovation effort by local Kiwanis Clubs.  The clubs have replaced playground equipment, added a soccer field, fencing and a picnic shelter to a park in great need!  This summer the Wenatchee Valley Farmer’s Market ran a very successful Thursday afternoon market from this location.
