The City of East Wenatchee is currently looking for two individuals to fill the vacancy on the planning commission. The planning commission is a seven–member volunteer board. The members are appointed by the Mayor. The primary role of the planning commission is to serve in an advisory capacity to the mayor and city council regarding land use matters. They also conduct public hearings for various land use permits. The planning commission typically meets once per month. To obtain an application for the

positions are open to fill the remaining terms of two members who are no longer able to serve. Applications must be received at the Community Development Department by February 1, 2012.
