AVHRA’s annual silent auction to benefit the SHRM Foundation will be held during the program.  The Foundation funds research, publications and education to advance the HR profession and enhance the effectiveness of HR professionals. FREE Intro to Social Media for Business From NCHBA

Join the FREE Intro to Social Media for Business class that

will be held Friday,  November 18, 2011 from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m.  The class will be held at the  North Central Regional Library at 16 N. Columbia ,  Wenatchee  (across from the Applewood Grill).  This class was very well attended in  August and we have had several requests to do it again.  So, we are doing  it again!  If you would like to attend, please contact Kim Fenner at 665-8195.

 

 

Homeless Awareness Week

November 14-18

 YWCA Warm Your Soul Soup & Blankets Event….

Monday, November 14th

YWCA’s café AZ’s is hosting the Soul Soup & Blankets Event in Café AZ’s on the lower level of the YWCA at 212 First Street in Wenatchee. This is a FREE event for the area’s homeless population. The event will be held from 4pm to 7pm. We will give away soup, bread, blankets, coats, gloves and toiletries. You can help in advance by collecting and donating food, blankets and warm clothing for the give away!

Throughout the week, we are encouraging

schools, organizations, and places of worship to fund-raise or host a donation drive for food, toiletries, blankets and funds to help support the YWCA’s Critical Homeless programs. The YWCA is inviting organizations to sell our “No to Homeless” bracelets as a way to help raise funds for critical YWCA homeless programs.

The dinner is being held with two seatings November 16th & 17th beginning with a social at 6pm dinner and photo presentation on Wenatchee’s Homeless. Call Jenny at 662-3531 for more information.
