Summertime
Anyone else excited that summer seems to finally have settled in?
My newest favorite thing to do is spend a few minutes in my hammock with a book or the kids.
Summer should be a perfect combination between relaxaion and adventure. So I decided to think of what a perfect summer weekend might look like. Here’s what I came up with (travel time and realism is not part of my idea summer):
-Wake up and join a good friend for a sunshine cappachino from Caffe Mela.
-Do a quick bit of downtown shopping (I love The Kitchen Sync and The Guilded Lily).
-Grab bagels at Jeepers for lunch on your way to Rotary Park to play with the kids in the water.
-Take a wild ride down the Wenatchee River with Gary from Osprey Rafting. (The kids can hang with Grandma for a bit at Smallwood’s Harvest Petting Zoo.)
-Check out a movie at Icicle Junction.
-Eat a delicious dinner at Visconti’s on the deck in Leavenworth.
-And while we’re up there, stay the night at Mountain Springs Lodge.
Let’s start in Leavenworth and end up in East Wenatchee next time.
