The Wenatchee Valley Chamber of Commerce’s 2022 banquet recognized six outstanding businesses and non-profit organizations of 2021. These companies are intentionally channeling their passions to help build a better community. The banquet was hosted in person at the Wenatchee Convention Center with the theme “Rise Up.” This year’s banquet honorees were Business of the Year nominees: the Coast Wenatchee Center Hotel, Goodfellow Bros., and Pickle Papers; and Non-Profit of the Year nominees: TOGETHER! For Youth, Garden Terrace, and the Wenatchee Valley YMCA.
2021 Business of the Year was awarded to Goodfellow Bros.
Dan Goodfellow accepted the award on behalf the business. He and his brother Steve are third generation of a four-generation company. In his acceptance, Dan focused on Wenatchee as the heart of Goodfellow Brothers. “We are Wenatchee people. Wenatchee is like a giant magnet; you can leave and there’s this draw that keeps you coming back to this community.”
Sharing the history of Goodfellow Brothers, he continued, “We opened our headquarters here in 1921 and we’ve stayed ever since. It is the heart and the values Wenatchee has that we have carried through our whole company. We bring all our employees here so they can see and touch Wenatchee and see where our roots are.”
2021 Non-Profit of the Year was awarded to TOGETHER! For Youth
Hailey Croci, Deputy Director, accepted the award on behalf of the organization. In her acceptance Croci said: “We are honored to be noticed and in such great company of other non-profits working to serve this beautiful valley. That is all you can do is notice. I challenge all of us to notice people and make a difference.”
